Paralimni-Deryneia Municipality Partners with Kernel Consultants Ltd to Deploy FireWatch AI – Cyprus-Born Wildfire Protection System

Paralimni, Cyprus – 11 July 2025

In a decisive move toward enhanced public safety and environmental resilience,

the Paralimni-Deryneia Municipalityhas partnered with Kernel Consultants Ltd to deploy FireWatch AI, a cutting-edge wildfire detection system. As part of the agreement, 15 FireWatch AI stations will be installed across Paralimni, Deryneia, Frenaros, Vrysoulles, Kaparis, and Protaras, fortifying the region with next-generation protection.

FireWatch AI was developed by Neuranet Solutions Ltd, a Cyprus-based innovator in AI technology. Kernel Consultants Ltd, which holds the exclusive licensing rights to FireWatch AI, will oversee the deployment, operations, and support for the system in close collaboration with the Municipality.

Smoke & Fire Detection – Human-Verified, Lightning-Fast

Each FireWatch AI station can detect smoke and fire from distances of 15 kilometers or more, transmitting alerts instantly to a dedicated AI server infrastructure for analysis. Within seconds, a human operator verifies the detectionand notifies the appropriate Fire Department and Forestry Department, enabling rapid and coordinated emergency response.

A No-Cost Agreement – Investing in R&D and Global Growth

The system will be installed and operated free of charge for the Paralimni-Deryneia Municipality. This initiative is part of a broader Research & Development program to refine the system in real-world conditions. The objective is to position Cyprus as a global leader in wildfire detection and AI-driven safety solutions.
