Detection near Liopetri

On March 5, 2024, at 06:56:20, our Firewatch AI system detected smoke in the Liopetri/Sotira (11.7 KM away). We promptly alerted the Fire Brigade, who confirmed that the smoke was from a farmer, with a permit, burning old vegetation and branches.

While this incident was not a wildfire, the data gathered is invaluable for the continuous training and improvement of our AI models. We were also able to use multiple detections in order to pinpoint the exact location of the fire via the triangulation algorithms that we have encoded into our A.I. system. Our advanced technology ensures rapid detection and accurate identification, contributing to safer and more informed communities.
